The Vilnius Regional Prosecutor's Office is conducting a pre-trial investigation into allegations of espionage against a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania, the Prosecutor General's Office announced on Friday.

The pre-trial investigation was initiated after the State Security Department (SSD) of the Republic of Lithuania, during an intelligence investigation, received information about a person who was possibly collecting information using methods used by the intelligence and security services of the Russian Federation (RF FSB).
