About the Author: Yu Yunshen was born in Penglai, Shandong Province in 1937. He joined the army in 1950 and graduated from the Archives Department of Renmin University of China. He served as an assistant in the General Office of the Shenyang Military Region Headquarters and became a secretary in Lin Biao's office in January 1965.
