Limestone woman dies, 3 seriously injured in Fort Fairfield crash

FORT FAIRFIELD, MAINE, AUG 6 – A southbound vehicle crossed lanes after overcorrecting, causing a fatal collision that left one dead and three others critically injured, police said.

A Limestone woman died and three others were severely injured in a crash on Route 1A in Fort Fairfield Tuesday morning, Fort Fairfield Police Chief Matthew Cummings said in a release. The area around 854 Limestone Road was closed until about 3 p.m. as police worked at the scene.
