On the afternoon of Tuesday, June 30 more than 60 people gathered to celebrate the planting of a “Liberty Tree” by the Springfield Garden Club. This event was part of a larger effort to plant 250 Liberty Trees across the nation by July 4th, the 250th anniversary of the birth of our nation.
