Lewis Hamilton finished 6th in qualifying for the 2026 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Ferrari joined the battle for the top, and while Charles Leclerc took 2nd place, Hamilton was unable to get a toe in the final attack in Q3, and they also struggled to get the tires into an appropriate operating area. Hamilton surpassed his teammate Leclerc in the 3rd free run, but there was a 0.495 second difference in qualifying.
