Letter: U.S. health care system is broken, detrimental | Honolulu Star-Advertiser

Last week’s column reminds us that health care is anything but “care” (“Venus Williams exposes health insurance faults,” Star-Advertiser, Insight, Aug. 15). Americans delude themselves that we have the best health care in the world. But we fail by statistics, including infant mortality and life expectancy. That the largest American health insurance companies are for-profit says everything.
