The FVRLibraries is developing its five-year strategic plan. When the plan was presented at the November board meeting, objections to the use of the words “equity” and “intellectual freedom” were voiced by several board members. They said they did not object to the principles of equity but wanted a more neutral word. Intellectual freedom was challenged as a harm to children and youth. Read more...
