Letter: Fight climate change, save trees

Thank you to the Walnut Grove residents who opposed the rezoning of this neighborhood. We are in a climate crisis for the city (and county) and all I see is destruction of the land and trees. One house is leveled and 14 dense houses are built in its place. Where I live, 4.5 acres with 182 trees now are replaced by 61 houses, each with two or three vehicles.
