A lesbian mom has penned a moving essay about her and her wife’s path to parenthood through reciprocal IVF – the process by which an embryo made using her egg was transferred into her wife, Leah’s, uterus. Rosa Rankin-Gee wrote in The Guardian that the process feels “a touch Shakespearean, or sci-fi” but that they chose to do it so they both felt equally connected to their child.
