LemFi Launches Its Biggest Product Expansion Yet Alongside a New Global Brand, 'Ambition has no passport'
The rebuilt app combines transfers, savings, credit and connectivity as LemFi expands beyond remittances for more than 2 million customers.
- On Wednesday, LemFi launched a rebuilt app and new global brand platform, "Ambition has no passport," marking its largest product expansion to date. The financial platform integrated UK savings, credit services, and eSIM connectivity in more than 100 destinations.
- Co-Founder and CEO of LemFi Ridwan Olalere said the expansion addresses fragmented financial systems, noting "we started LemFi because sending money home was broken." Customers building careers in one country while supporting families in another face systems that treat them as if they exist in only one place.
- The LemFi Instant Access Savings Account offers 5% AER for the first six months, reverting to 3.04% thereafter. Deposits held by ClearBank are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme up to £120,000, with a revolving credit line available through Pillar.
- Serving more than two million customers across more than 30 countries with around $2 billion in monthly transaction volume, LemFi is expanding its platform. Isabel Ron-Pedrique, VP of Design and Brand at LemFi, said customers "are not defined by the country they left."
- Backed by more than $85 million in funding from Highland Europe, Left Lane Capital, Palm Drive Capital, Endeavor Catalyst and Y Combinator, LemFi plans to add more countries next year. The expansion builds on the platform's mission to serve those building financial lives across international borders.
