Xiaomi's 17T Series Phones Feature Leica Tech and a New 5x Camera
The midrange phones add Leica Live Moment, 5x telephoto cameras and up to 100W charging as Xiaomi targets premium features at lower prices.
- Xiaomi announced the 17T and 17T Pro smartphones, expanding its 17 series with upper mid-range devices featuring Leica-developed camera systems and silicon-carbon batteries.
- The Pro model integrates the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip paired with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, while the standard 17T utilizes the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra and 6.59-inch screen. Both reach 3,500-nit peak brightness.
- Powering the devices are massive batteries: the 17T Pro houses 7,000mAh capacity, the 17T contains 6,500mAh. Both support 100W wired charging, with the Pro reaching 50% charge within 25 minutes.
- Pricing begins at 749 Euros for the 17T and 899 Euros for the 17T Pro. Xiaomi confirmed availability online and at retail stores across the UK and Europe, though no official US launch is planned.
- Both phones debut 'Leica Live Moment,' capturing video alongside stills with Leica's 'signature aesthetic.' Running HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, the series positions itself as one of the segment's best camera-focused options.
