LAUREL, Miss. (WHLT) - After the City of Hattiesburg announced a youth curfew, another city in the Pine Belt has decided to implement its own curfew. Laurel Mayor Johnny Magee issued an executive order on July 9 to implement a curfew for minors. The curfew will be in effect from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Sunday. The Myrtle Beach City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance regarding a stricter juvenile curfew Tuesday. Over the Fourth of July weekend, the city changed the curfew for minors, instead of midnight to 6am, it was 10pm-6am.
