- On Wednesday, Ragozin thanked supporters while criticizing those reacting with 'sadistic glee,' having resided in Latvia since Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014.
- Since the invasion of Ukraine, Latvia has declared numerous Russian cultural figures and journalists persona non grata; in 2022 alone, the Foreign Ministry added 167 individuals to the list, including TV host Tina Kandelaki.
