Large pro-Israel rally planned for Parliament Hill on Monday
- Prominent Jewish groups organized a rally on Parliament Hill in solidarity with Israel, with speakers including those affected by Hamas attacks and the Israeli ambassador to Canada.
- Nearly 20 out of 70 buses scheduled to transport community members from Toronto to Ottawa for the rally did not show up, leading to alternative travel arrangements. The UJA Federation of Greater Toronto plans legal action against the subcontracted company responsible.
- The rally aimed to support Israel's right to exist and defend itself against terror, while also calling for the release of hostages held by Hamas. A weeklong ceasefire between Israel and Hamas expired with both sides blaming each other.
