- Currently in the top two with four wins from six matches under captain Bhanuka Rajapaksa, the franchise gains mentorship from the 2011 World Cup winner. Tournament Director Samantha Dodanwela noted the value: "The mentorship and direction he can offer our young Sri Lankan players will be enormous."
- Innovative Production Group CEO Anil Mohan welcomed the new ownership, stating: "We look forward to an exciting new chapter for Jaffna and wish the new ownership every success."
- The acquisition follows the arrest of former India Under-19 cricketer Manjot Kalra, previous co-owner, by Sri Lanka's sports anti-corruption investigators over allegations of attempting to bribe a player.
