At 70 years old, Brazilian jiu-jitsu grandmaster Marcus Soares is still teaching seven days a week. Once an economics student who thought he’d make his living working in a bank, Soares instead brought his martial art’s lineage to B.C. in the 1990s, and has no plans to retire. “I’m doing this for 56 years,” Soares said.
