Lanett council adopts new fiscal budget

One day before the new fiscal year started on Oct. 1, the Lanett City Council on Tuesday adopted an operating budget for 2025-26. It’s slightly larger than last year’s budget and is in the $28 million range. It includes a three-percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for city employees. The action was approved in a 5-1 vote.
