Lam Research opens $65M building in Tualatin, with more growth in the works
Lam Research's new $65 million office in Tualatin adds space for 700 employees to support semiconductor manufacturing equipment development in Oregon.
- On Nov. 21, 2025, Lam Research Corporation opened Building G, a four-story, 120,000-square-foot, $65 million office in Tualatin, OR, with space for 700 employees.
- Lam said the new office reflects a commitment to grow locally and expand critical capacity for semiconductor manufacturing and process development as part of a multi-year strategy to enhance facilities near customers for the coming years.
- Lam's Tualatin team developed SABRE, SABRE 3D, and VECTOR TEOS 3D, employing around 4,000 people at the 52-acre Tualatin site and Sherwood factory.
- The addition expands one of Lam's global hubs, providing critical capacity for the Oregon workforce and accelerating innovation capabilities, Robert Wagner, Oregon State Senate President, said.
- TuX, the planned research facility, remains on the drawing board and has faced resistance from neighbors over noise and traffic, amid Intel cutting at least 6,000 jobs and layoffs at Onsemi and Microchip Technology.
