The new birth leave, included in the draft budget of Social Security 2026, is to be discussed in committee by Members from Monday, 27 October. Each parent will be entitled to two months of additional leave as a result of maternity and paternity leave. The Executive presents it as one of the levers of "demographic rearmament".
