NISSWA — Dan Derfler started his first job at what is now MarineMax Nisswa when he was 16 years old. 50 years later, he is still there. “I never set out to work in one place for 50 years,” Derfler said. “It just happened.” Derfler is a lifelong resident of the Brainerd lakes area.
