Kylie Minogue secures her first Christmas number one in UK

On Dec. 19 the Official Charts Company announced Kylie Minogue's XMAS as the UK Official Chart Christmas No.1 for 2025, revealed live on BBC Radio 1, dethroning Wham!'s Last Christmas.
The single was released as part of an expanded 10th‑anniversary edition of Kylie Christmas, with XMAS available exclusively on Amazon Music alongside limited-edition vinyl, CD releases and a music video showing Kylie teaching a dance.
According to the Official Charts Company, Kylie Minogue, 57-year-old Australian pop star, achieved her biggest UK sales week in 23 years since 2002's 'Love At First Sight' and became the first woman with UK No.1 singles across four decades.
Martin Talbot, chief executive of the Official Charts Company, said Kylie may now challenge Mariah Carey as the `queen of Christmas` and congratulated her achievement, while Together For Palestine's charity single Lullaby entered at number five raising funds for Gaza.
Only 10,000 copies separated the top five, showing a tight race this year, while Kylie's original Christmas song win may inspire other artists with brand new Christmas songs.
