Barbara Nowak, head of the Kraków branch of the Law and Justice party (PiS), informed Law and Justice supporters and activists that she would not participate in the state commemorations. She invited them to alternative commemorations.
"The statement by Ms. Barbara Nowak sent to PiS structures regarding the Krakow May 3 celebrations is not the party's position. It is a private initiative of Ms. Barbara Nowak," party spokesman Rafał Bochenek emphasized on the X website.
Barbara Nowak, chairwoman of the Kraków chapter of Law and Justice, called for a boycott of the national celebration of May 3rd. There were many surprised voices within the Law and Justice party itself.
