- On January 5, 2026, ASIFA-Hollywood revealed finalists for the 53rd Annie Awards, with Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters and Pixar's Elio leading the film nominations with 10 each.
- Both films scored nods across the 12 feature-film categories, with nominations spanning direction, production design, writing, editorial and music.
- Best Feature will pit Elio, KPop Demon Hunters, Little Amélie, The Bad Guys 2 and Zootopia 2, with Little Amélie and Zootopia 2 receiving seven nominations and Arco earning five.
- Winners will be feted at the 53rd Annie Awards ceremony on February 21, 2026, at UCLA's Royce Hall; ASIFA-Hollywood also announced juried awards honoring Michaël Dudok de Wit, Christopher Miller, Phil Lord, Chris Sanders, Sandy Rabins, Wacom, and LightBox Expo.
