Priests Avelino Aguilera Huertas. Natural de Guadix, born on 12 November 1874. He received priestly ordination in 1898 and was named Parroco de Benalúa de Guadix in 1910. On 20 October 1936 he was taken from his home and transferred to Guadix in a van along with other detainees, but on arriving at the Rambla de Paulenca, near Guadix, both he and his companions were taken from the van to pushers, shot and abandoned the corpses along the road.
