KNMI issues code yellow for strong wind gusts across Noord-Holland, northern Netherlands
The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) issued a code yellow warning for Noord-Holland, Friesland, the Waddeneilanden, and the IJsselmeer region due to strong wind gusts expected overnight, while new KNMI data released earlier shows April remains the only month in the Netherlands that has never recorded a code orange or code red weather warning.
A Yellow alert is in effect in North Holland, Friesland, the Wadden Islands, and on the IJsselmeer during the night from Saturday to Sunday, reports the KNMI. Severe gusts of wind may occur, which could cause disruption to road traffic.
