The Irish rap trio Kneecap would have graced the stage at this year's Sziget festival today had the Hungarian government had not banned the band from the country. Regardless, the band continues to tour and have vowed to keep using their platform to call out 'genocide and war criminals'.
The Irish rap trio, banned by the government, addressed the Sziget audience in a video message.
Kneecap, who were banned from Hungary for three years, sent a virtual message to the audience at the Sziget festival. The Northern Irish rap trio's video was screened during Casey Lowery's concert.
Banned from Hungary, Kneecap was still on Sziget and even attacked Viktor Orbán - "But we are drawing attention to the oppression."
Kneecap were scheduled to perform at Sziget on Monday night, and even though the Hungarian government banned them from Hungary, the Irish band still found a way to send a message at the festival.
