North Korea Test-Fires Long-Range Cruise Missiles: State Media

On Dec. 28, 2025, North Korea test-fired two strategic long-range cruise missiles into the sea, with Kim Jong Un overseeing the drill, KCNA reported.

Ahead of the party congress, analysts say North Korea aims to improve strike precision, challenge the United States and South Korea, and test weapons before potential export to Russia in its first cruise-missile test since early November.
