Kid Rock Announces Christian Music Album Featuring Eminem Collaboration
- On Thursday, October 1, Kid Rock announced his upcoming Christian album 'Halfway 2 Jesus,' featuring a collaboration with Eminem on the track '7 Sins' among 17 total songs.
- The two Detroit-area artists have maintained a decades-long relationship, collaborating on the 1998 track 'F--- Off' and later on Eminem's 2013 single 'Berzerk.'
- This 17-track project marks Rock's first Christian music release, with Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox and country singer Jimmie Allen joining on the title track 'Halfway 2 Jesus.'
- News of the pairing sparked debate among fans, with some questioning the collaboration's authenticity while others cited the artists' opposing political views as problematic.
- In the album's foreword, Rock wrote the collaboration aims to set an example for people who have lost friendships over differing beliefs, noting they 'differ politically' but remained friends.
