Kelowna youth golfer tied for 9th at U15 Canadian Championship

A Kelowna golfer is holding her own at the under-15 Canadian Championships in Bath, Ont. Through two rounds, Kelowna’s Velvet Haynes is tied for ninth, sitting at +5 after shooting 72 on Aug. 25 and 77 on Aug. 26. Kaeleigh Chung of Richmond Hill, Ont., is first through 36 rounds, at -6. The tournament is taking place at the Loyalist Country Club.
