After a lengthy dispute that went before the courts, the City of Kelowna is taking back the boardwalk fronting Hotel Eldorado. Kelowna city council has authorized staff to begin the process of expropriating the disputed area in order to protect long-term public access to the waterfront in a move they described as a last resort in an ongoing dispute.
