Srabotnik Wins Bronze at the European Championship

Žiga Lin Hočevar won bronze on the Olympic course at the European Canoeing Championships in Paris.

The Slovenian national kayak and canoe team won another medal at the European Slalom Championships on the Olympic course in Paris. After winning bronze in the canoe team competition, 29-year-old Celjan Martin Srabotnik surprisingly won the individual event, also taking third place in the kayak.

Celjan won his first individual medal at major competitions and Slovenia's 47th at the European Championships.

Martin Srabotnik secured Slovenia's second medal at the European Whitewater Slalom Championships on the Olympic course in Paris, winning a bronze medal in kayaking.

Four Slovenian canoeists qualified for the final heat of the European Whitewater Slalom Championships in Paris. Eva Alina Hočevar made it into the top 12 with a convincingly fast time, beating her closest competitor by three and 11 hundredths of a second in the semi-finals. All three boys were also successful.
