A three-day special session has been convened from September 21 to 23 to discuss the drought situation in the State and the Kasturirangan Committee report. Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar had earlier announced the special session to discuss the Kasturirangan report after a draft published by the Centre notified 1,439 villages in Karnataka as ecologically sensitive areas.
