Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov managed to negotiate with the European Commission that the purchase of 35 multiple unit trains will still be done with European money, and not from the budget. This is clear from a statement by the government information service. Twelve of the trains worth 363,314,981 leva will be financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), and the remaining 23 worth 696.4 million.
