The head of European diplomacy, Kai Callas, outlined the requirements that Brussels would demand from Moscow during the peace talks, including the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transdniestria, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, said that, if negotiations with Russia on Ukraine start, Brussels will raise, among other things, the issue of the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territories of Georgia and Moldova. Kallas said this on 28 May, while talking to journalists from Cyprus, where an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers is taking place.
