Following the earthquake in the Lower Silesian regional council, PiS politicians say the process of "pushing" Mateusz Morawiecki out of the party has begun. However, the politician himself is not passive and is gathering supporters.
Jarosław Kaczyński, visiting Wrocław on Monday, decided to expel seven councilors associated with Mateusz Morawiecki from the PiS councilors' club in the Lower Silesian regional assembly. All were also suspended from their party membership. "This is the beginning of Mateusz's expulsion from PiS," we hear in Law and Justice. Morawiecki is not remaining passive: he is gathering supporters and is being encouraged to found his own party.

Jarosław Kaczyński expelled seven councilors from the Law and Justice (PiS) caucus in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Assembly. This means that only six of the thirteen PiS councilors remain in the caucus. The changes were prompted by friction within the PiS caucus and the attitudes of some councilors toward decisions made by the regional party authorities.
