Justice. Indexia Trial (ex-Sfam): New Complaints Filed by UFC-What to Choose

The consumer protection association has filed a new criminal complaint against the Indexia group (formerly SFAM) and its partner companies. Nearly 561 consumers complain of "over-debits, persistent debits despite the termination" of their smartphone or computer insurance contract, "or even illicit transfers of banking data."

The consumer association filed a new complaint against the companies of the group of Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme) Indexia and its boss Sadri Fegaier. According to her, the abusive levies on private bank accounts continued, including during the trial.

On 6 May 2025, the UFC-Que Choisir announced new legal actions against the SFAM (Société française d'assurances multi-riskes) group, renamed Indexia. This announcement follows a series of convictions handed down at the end of 2024 for deceptive commercial practices. The hearings of the "SFAM/INDEXIA" trial held in the autumn of 2024, culminating in the conviction of SFAM, FORIOU, HUBSIDE, SERENA (A.M.P), CYRANA and SFK Group and Mr. Sadri FEGAIER for misleading commercial practices, however, did not allow the Paris Correctional Court to judge the other actions carried out by the companies of the SFAM Group which became INDEXIA and some of their partners, to the detriment of consumers.
