Puck Pieterse Immediately Successful in Mountain Bike Comeback

Puck Pieterse has won her first mountain bike race of the season. The reigning world champion won the short race of the World Cup race in the Czech Republic's Nove Mesto by beating Britain's Evie Richards and Switzerland's Linda Indergand in the sprint.

The short track races of the Mountain Bike World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě were won by American Christopher Blevins and Dutchwoman Puck Pieterse. Ondřej Cink finished seventeenth, Jitka Čábelická took 35th place.

Between the spring classics and the Tour de France, Mathieu van der Poel will be climbing onto his mountain bike this weekend.
