Judge sets May date for Kennedy trial
Timothy Kennedy, the man charged in connection with the June 2023 shooting death of West Virginia State Police Trooper Cory Maynard that lead to a multi-county manhunt and even halted high school graduations, has had a mistrial declared Thursday following a four-day process attempting to seat a jury. His trial, which was set to begin Monday, has been delayed again as Judge Joshua Butcher considers a change of venue request.
