Murder Trial Moved to Williamson County
The murder trial of a southern Illinois woman accused of killing her husband will be held in Williamson County after a judge approved a change of venue. Megan Valentine is charged with first degree murder and firearm offenses in the November 2024 shooting death of Edwards County Judge Michael Valentine outside the couple’s home in Albion. She has pleaded not guilty. A trial date has not yet been announced.
