On the afternoon of Saturday, April 5, 2025, a young man was the victim of an accident in Baghdad Beach, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. The 19-year-old, identified as Joseph Gomez, was in the place accompanied by a group of friends when he allegedly entered the sea to help another person and was dragged by the strong swell.
