Jonas Vingegaard wins Giro d’Italia to become the eighth male rider to win all three Grand Tours
Danish cyclist Jonas Vingegaard won the Giro d'Italia on Sunday, becoming the eighth male rider to win all three Grand Tours.
Riding for Team Visma-Lease a Bike, Vingegaard previously won the Tour in France in 2022 and 2023, along with last year's Spanish Vuelta title.
The three-week race ended with Vingegaard finishing 5 minutes, 22 seconds ahead of second-place Felix Gall, while Jai Hindley placed third.
Sprint specialist Jonathan Milan won the 131-kilometer final stage in Rome, where Vingegaard embraced his wife and two children at the finish line.
Having dominated his first Giro, Vingegaard will now turn his attention to the Tour in France, where he attempts to become the ninth man to complete the Giro-Tour double.
