‘Jeopardy!’ Contestant Gambles Big on Final Question
McFerrin answered Final Jeopardy correctly after betting all $9,400, lifting his four-day total to $96,997.
On June 4, energy industry professional Peter McFerrin from Corona, California, won his fourth Jeopardy! game, bringing his four-day total to $96,997 after wagering all his money in Final Jeopardy.
McFerrin faced retired arts administrator Susan Moskop from Memphis, Tennessee, and biotech data scientist Webster Guan from Cambridge, Massachusetts, with Guan entering Final Jeopardy in first place with $13,400.
With the category 'U.S. Demography,' contestants faced a clue about municipalities along Palisade Ave; Moskop incorrectly wrote 'What is New York?' while McFerrin correctly answered 'What is New Jersey?' for a $22,800 total.
Entering the game with a three-day total of $74,197, McFerrin successfully defended his title and will return to the Jeopardy! stage on Friday for his fifth appearance.
Throughout the episode, McFerrin found a Daily Double in Double Jeopardy with $6,600 and battled for the lead; he secured the win despite trailing at times, maintaining his current champion status.
