JD Vance's Son Alec Dressed as Dobby the Elf in Adorable Look
- On Saturday, Vice President JD Vance dressed as Albus Dumbledore for Halloween, sharing the festive look with his family on social media through video and photographs.
- Critics flagged that Albus Dumbledore is canonically gay, complicating Vance's past rhetoric regarding Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico, whom he targeted while campaigning in Texas earlier this month.
- Photographs shared by the Second Family featured Harry Potter-inspired costumes, including Vance on a porch with his son dressed as Dobby the Elf and another child as Harry Potter.
- Following the video's release on Saturday, investigative journalist Michael Weiss noted the irony as social media users reacted with mixed responses to Vance's costume choice.
- Vance previously garnered attention for his holiday attire; last year, on October 31, he dressed as his own viral "Fat" meme, recreating the look with a curly wig and exaggerated wide eyes.
