Jay-Z's tour hosts local youth orchestra ahead of SoFi Stadium
The visit gave young musicians a behind-the-scenes look at the production as Jay-Z prepared for two stadium concerts.
On Friday and Saturday, rapper Jay-Z performed sold-out concerts at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, as part of his JAx-Z30 tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt.
This yearlong celebration honors a career spanning 30 years, marking both the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of his 2001 studio album, The Blueprint.
Jay-Z's 14-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, joined him onstage Friday to perform piano melodies for "The Story of O.J." and "Dead Presidents," earning loud crowd cheers.
Special guests Scarface, John Legend, and DJ Khaled performed during the show, while the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles toured production preparations earlier Friday.
Chatter persists that Jay-Z may headline the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show next February at the same SoFi Stadium venue, though the rapper did not confirm the reports Friday.
