New Jalan Kayu and Punggol Town Councils officially start work from Aug 1

From August 1 onwards, residents in Jalan Kayu and Punggol will be served by two brand new town councils. Both town councils were formed after the General Election in May 2025. Jalan Kayu, which is now a Single Member Constituency (SMC), has over 29,500 voters. Punggol, a larger GRC, will be serving more than 123,500 voters.
