Third Suspect Arrested Months After Mass Shooting in Downtown Jackson

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI, JUL 11 – Kayne Davis was arrested after fleeing the state and now faces first-degree murder and seven aggravated assault charges in a shooting that injured seven others, officials said.

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) - Capitol police announced an 18-year-old has been arrested in connection to the mass shooting in downtown Jackson that occurred hours after the 2025 Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade. Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said Kayne Davis, 18, was arrested on July 10. She said Davis fled the state after the shooting on March 22. The U.S. Marshal's Service assisted with the arrest. …
