NMP contamination was detected in a monitoring well in the internal area of the SK On Hungary battery factory in Ivancsa, but no contamination was found in any of the water samples taken from 55 locations in the settlement, the Iváncsa municipality announced.

No contamination was detected in any water sample from a well in Ivancsa during the control tests carried out after the NMP contamination was discovered at the battery factory. The municipality took samples from a total of 55 locations, from drilled and dug wells, and the tests will continue in the future. SK On Hungary previously reported that the presence of n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone was discovered in one of the monitoring wells inside the plant.…
