A new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft that is renewing the TAROM fleet will be named after Ivan Patzaichin, Olympic champion and one of the emblematic figures of Romanian sport, announced Wednesday, the company.
TAROM will call Ivan Patzaichin the second Boeing 737 MAX aircraft entering the fleet renewal process. The protocol for the use of the name was signed on Wednesday, August 19, in the presence of Georgiana and Ivona Patzaichin, the wife and daughter of the former Olympic champion.
