Two election results undoubtedly marked the second round of local elections: the victory of HDZ candidate Tomislav Šuta in Split over Ivica Puljko (Centre) and the defeat of Homeland Movement and HDZ candidate Domagoj Bilić in Vukovar against Marijan Pavliček, the candidate of the Croatian Sovereignists.

The ruling Croatian party HDZ is the absolute winner of Sunday's local elections, political analyst Marko Alavanja told STA today.
