‘It’s hard but it’s fun’: Citrus students build bikes for others

CHICO — In small groups, fifth graders at Citrus Elementary worked together Tuesday morning, squeezing handlebar grips onto eight bikes they’d been building for over a month. “It’s hard but it’s fun,” said 11-year-old Elena Martin.
